Eat Gai

Hear our message and donate!

Eat Gai is New York City's first Khao Man Gai (Hainan chicken rice) specialty restaurant. Khao Man Gai translates literally to "rice fat chicken."

We’re partnering with Feed Your Hospital to raise funds to deliver nutritious, hot meals to healthcare workers on the frontline of fighting COVID-19.

100% of your donation after credit card and service fees will go directly to Feed Your Hospital, who collaborates with us to develop special menu options for these deliveries, and coordinates directly with the local hospitals in New York.

Why healthcare workers specifically?

Food connects humans. We want to ensure that health workers are taken care of as humans, and we believe that they are experiencing the greatest amount of stress during this time. As we scale this effort, we will consider collaborating with other public service organizations to maximize social values and create positive social impacts.

Could I obtain a tax deduction for my large donation?

Feed Your Hospital is fiscally sponsored by Ascend Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. For donations of $250 and higher, you will receive an official Ascend Foundation letter via e-mail acknowledging your donation. This letter can be used for tax purposes. Please allow 2-4 weeks for letter processing.

What type of food are you delivering to health workers?

Eat Gai has already delivered and will continue to send bento-style meals to hospitals and first-responders all over NYC. See photos on the Instagram @eat_gai! If you like what you see, order one for yourself!
