Invisible Hands
Invisible Hands is a group of engaged volunteers from communities at the least risk for severe COVID-19 reactions working to bring groceries and supplies to those in high-risk demographics. We are focused most prominently on the elderly, disabled, and immunocompromised, but are available to help anyone in need.

We call ourselves invisible hands because, unfortunately, given what is known about COVID-19 we want to minimize as much direct contact in our deliveries as possible. But don’t worry, you will talk on the phone with your volunteer and you can tell each other a little about yourselves! In this incredibly isolating time we’re happy to provide you a connection.
City Harvest
The crisis in our city is urgent, and we are stepping up to rescue and deliver more food to meet the need. Our trucks will continue to be on the road, and we will work hard to make sure all children in our city and their families have food during this time. We have always been about neighbors helping neighbors—and that is truer now than ever before. Our Board of Directors is matching every $1 donated through April 17 with $2 of their own, up to $500,000, ensuring your gift goes 3 times as far. Thank you for stepping up with us. Together, we are City Harvest, and together, we will feed our city.

Tenement Museum
At a time when issues surrounding migrants, refugees, and immigration have taken center stage, the Tenement Museum is a potent reminder that, as a nation shaped by immigration, our brightest hope for the future lies in the lessons of the past. Our mission is to foster a society that embraces and values the role of immigration in the evolving American identity through guided tours; curriculum and programs for secondary and post-secondary educators; stories, primary sources and media shared on our website; and interactive online experiences such as Your Story, Our Story, podcasts and more.
